Our company has produced some of the most realistic scaled models of some of the most fa mous buildings in the United States for many different films, tv shows, museum and art exhibits for years. Our quality replicas have convinced viewers time and time again that they are the real thing when used in the filming industry and have also been appreciated as part of an exhibit. One of our most historically significant buildings was the World Trade Center and it Twin Towers, which tragically were attacked on September 11th, 2001 and thousands of Americans lives were lost. The World Trade Center was more than its signature twin towers: it was a complex of seven buildings on 16-acres, constructed and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). The towers, One and Two World Trade Center, rose at the heart of the complex, each climbing more than 100 feet higher than the silver mast of the Empire State Building. Construction began in 1966 and cost an estimated $1.5 billion. One World Trade Center was ready for its first tenants in late 1970, though the upper stories were not completed until 1972; Two World Trade Center was finished in 1973. Excavation to bedrock 70 feet below produced the material for the Battery Park City landfill project in the Hudson River. When complete, the C enter met with mixed reviews, but at 1,368 and 1,362 feet and 110 stories each, the twin towers were the world's tallest, and largest, buildings until the Sears Tower surpassed them both in 1974. Now that the Twin Towers have been destroyed, the only way to film a scene during the time that they were still standing is to use our scaled models to recreate their existence. They have also been used to commemorate what they stood for and to remember what we all went through as a country. The US Capital is another famous building we created a scale model of in the past.
The United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. It has housed the meeting chambers of the Sena te and the House of Representatives for almost two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as amonument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government. Another iconic world landmark that our skilled artisans created in a scaled model for the film industry is Times Square. Times Square is a major intersection in New York City that was named after the Times Building (now One Times Square), where The New York T imes was formerly headquartered. Nicknamed "The Crossroads of the World," Times Square is located at Broadway and Seventh Avenue and extends from West 42nd to West 47th Streets (click here to view a map of Times Square). Like city squares in many other major cities around the world, Times Square has become an illustrious landmark and a symbol of New York City and is also the site of the annual ball drop on New Year's Eve. Whatever you planning to have created or replicated, our skilled professionals can design and build scaled models of whatever size you request and any building, structure or sculpture you can imagine. Just submit your ideas, photos and drawings and we can work with you to get the result you desire.
