All of our metallic color effects are achieved with a high-quality mixed of metallic powders and paint, except for gold which we use gold leaf instead of gold powder. Only the highest level of faux painters use bronze, copper, brass, and silver metal powders in their painting.
AGING AND ANTIQUING EFFECTS
Antiqued - highlight effects added to surface using metal powders
Burnish - subtle exposure of metallics from within the paint
Antiquing - washing with color or stain, then removal of excess
Leafing - actual application of metal leaf using special hands on process
Distressing - purposeful damage to the artwork to imitate the aging process
